Saying Yes & Saying No

Saying Yes & Saying No

Last night, for the first time in weeks, I got a full 8.5 hours of sleep.

Crazy, right? That’s college for you.

So, when my family decided to go apple picking on this beautiful fall day, I could finally say “yes”, and not feel guilty. What do I mean by that?

Have you ever been so over-booked or over-worked, yet continue to say yes to tasks/invitations/etc. because you think that you can get it all done?

I do it. All the time. And while I 100% enjoy everything I do, it can also be really difficult because I’m not prioritizing time for myself.

I’ve noticed all it really leads to is stress, lack of sleep, and more stress.

What I’ve realized this week, is that it’s okay to say no to tasks/invitations/tasks because we are important, and we need to treat ourselves as such.

So I said yes when it mattered. I encourage you to take the time this week for yourself, and see how different you’ll feel. If you feel called to, let me know in the comments below how you take on self-care and how it helps you throughout your week!
