What It Means to Live Colorfully

“Live Colorfully.” -Kate Spade

FactI am obsessed with Kate Spade, and not just for the products they create.

I love Kate Spade because their products inspire me every day.

Kate Spade reminds me to not see the world as black and white or shades of grey- instead, it is vivid colors (or shades of pink, gold, and black in my case!).

When things are tough- and trust me, they are- we need to remember who we are.

What makes you unique? Your uncanny ability to quote movies? Your passion for medicine?

Or maybe it’s the fact that you’re you.

It’s hard to remember that, especially when we constantly feel weighed down by other people’s opinions, insecurities, and feelings.

We are our biggest enemies sometimes and we need to start supporting ourselves so we can realize our inner greatness.

When I use my Kate Spade products, whether they be as small as a dry-erase marker or a paper clip, I am reminded to live colorfully; to be my best self; to remember that I am bold + brave + who I’m meant to be (The Greatest Showman, anyone?)

I wanted to write this post to remind you (and myself, honestly) that you are so much more than someone’s black and white inference of who you are. You are crimson, burnt sienna, sunshine yellow, forest green, cerulean, violet, and blush pink. And every color in between.

I encourage you to keep this message in mind this week as you go about your day. If you feel inclined, comment one unique thing you love about yourself below! And share this message with someone who needs to hear it.

All the love,

Thank you for this. I love that I am strong and can overcome even the toughest obstacles.

Thank you, Kate – for all you did while you were on this earth, and for your legacy.
