New Year, “New” Me

New Year, “New” Me

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you've all been having a relaxing and fulfilling holiday season.

I'm sure that you've heard the expression, "New Year, New Me". The phrase itself has become somewhat of a joke, on the grounds that people often say that they'll change... yet don't.

We all fall victim to something I call the "New Year Death Trap".

The new year death trap goes like this:

"I promise I'll change"

                  ↓

"Oh crap, I messed up"

                  ↓

"Well, there's no going back now."

                  ↓

      *And repeat*

And it happens to me every year.

And I've decided that this year is the last year that I give in to this cycle.

And to begin this "New Me", I created a workbook for myself so that I can focus on my goals for the new year.

This printable is available once you subscribe to the blog! Check out some screenshots at the end of this post!

As well as some of the resources that are included to keep your goals in 2018, here is a list of extra resources that will make your 2018 amazing!

Shine:

This daily Monday-Friday text gives you quotes, research-backed articles, actions you can take, and more to help you stay positive. When you sign up for this free text message service, you can customize your “goal”. I’ve been receiving these texts for over 6 months now, and I can always count on these messages to make me smile in the morning.

Planners/Notebooks:

This is by far my favorite way to stay motivated. I love being able to open up a notebook and write about my day. These are my favorites.

Pinterest:

Pinterest is my favorite social media application because there are only positive posts! My favorite thing to do when I want to feel productive is to search motivational quotes and just scroll through the results.

These are just a few of the resources that I hope can help you in 2018!

Stay tuned for some more upcoming posts about being the best version of YOU in the new year!

Don't forget to follow along on social media so you can stay *super* up to date on productivity hacks (and more!) for the new year.

I'll be posting ONE motivational quote each day, either on my story or on my feed!
