Hi friends! Today, I’m sharing a few summer looks, because as we all know, summer is all about the bright colors + fun outfits!
Spending 3 weeks in NYC was the perfect opportunity to wear colorful + bold looks, so I’ve compiled my favorite ones into this blog post to inspire you all in your own outfits!
Look 1: Casual Summer Day ft. REEDS Jewelers
I styled this super cute striped ruffled dress from H&M with a yellow knotted headband (similar linked here) – I’ve been super obsessed with cute headbands lately!
As for accessories, my friends over at REEDS Jewelers sent me a gorgeous Rhodolite Garnet & White Sapphire set from their colored gemstone collection! I fell head over heels for the reddish/burgundy tones which exude passion, strength, originality, and visual thinking.
Thank you so much to REEDS Jewelers for partnering with me for this fun summer look! Be sure to check them out for all of your jewelry needs!
Look 2: Summer Workplace Chic
I found this floral dress at H&M and I found it SO versatile for the workplace and for a day out on the town. It’s extremely comfortable and flowy, which is a MUST when it comes to summer outfits for me.
It works with literally any color flats or heels, but on this particular day, I chose black loafers.
Look 3: (Nothing Like Summer in the) City Casual
This look is super simple- all you need is a fun graphic tee with black ripped jeans. I found this shirt at Nordstrom Rack and it says “be kind to every kind”, which is such an important thing to remember. The fact that it’s pink makes it even more on brand for me, lol.
Look 4: “When Harry Met Sally” Summer Look
When Harry Met Sally is one of my favorite movies of ALL TIME… and I’m also clearly a sucker for autumn colors. Visiting Katz’ Deli, where they filmed the iconic “I’ll have what she’s having” scene was SO cool. So naturally, I had to dress in autumn colors to feel the movie, even though it was 90+ degrees out. This mustard colored dress from Zara is so versatile- you can use it for spring, summer, AND fall. I paired it with my trusty matte black Birkenstocks and my rust colored headband. (Oh, and a Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Refresher from Starbucks, because it’s my summer go-to.)
Look 5: Friends Themed 90’s
I love the TV show Friends SO much that I dragged my brother to the apartment/corner where they filmed the opening credits scene. I had “I’ll Be There for You” stuck in my head the ~whole~ time.
Look 6: Bold + Classic Look
You all know how much I love and support Her Campus, aka the #1 global community for college women. Since my freshman year, I’ve gone to every event they’ve had in NYC, including College Fashion Week and Her Conference. For Her Conference 2019, I wore a red fit & flare dress with bows on the shoulders from 1901 along with my favorite kate spade new york calf hair leopard block heels with a gold-tone accent. I felt like I was on my way to a classy cocktail party in the city and absolutely loved it!
Look 7: Laid Back Denim
On this day in NYC, I was just having a relaxing day walking around and shopping. I wore a striped peplum tee (it’s EXTREMELY comfortable) with black ripped jeans and a comfy denim jacket.
I hope you all enjoyed this blog post filled with my favorite looks I wore in NYC!
