How To Save Money on Iced Coffee

How To Save Money on Iced Coffee

I’m a total caffeine addict. I LOVE my lattes, imported teas, cappucinos, and iced coffees. But I’m also a crazy busy person, and I don’t always have the time (or energy!) to make fancy coffee at home.

So, I often find myself overspending on coffee while I’m out, whether it’s at Starbucks, Peet’s or *insert random coffee shop here*. I really should be saving my money for other things, but it wasn’t until TODAY that I discovered this life-changing hack.

This is my second post in my “Alexa, get my life together” blog post series. If you’re confused, check out my original post here!

Are you guys ready for the coffee life hack?

Trader Joe’s Cold Brew Coffee.

Trader Joe's Cold Brew

I know, I know. You’re probably thinking “That’s it?”- but I promise, this isn’t your everyday bottled coffee. (Please note, this post is NOT sponsored by Trader Joe’s at all! I just truly think this is one of the greatest things I’ve ever found. I knew you all needed to know about it.)

So, what makes Trader Joe’s Cold Brew so special?

At first sip, I seriously thought I was drinking a high-end iced coffee. I’m really particular on how I like my coffee blends. This cold brew is perfect- it’s not acidic at all. And best of all, the entire 32oz bottle of cold brew is under $5. UNDER $5. That’s less than most coffee shops charge for one iced coffee!!!

Here’s my DIY Iced Coffee Hack that will save you money:

Step 1: Ice – It seems kind of obvious, but it’s actually not super necessary. If you chill your cold brew bottle before serving it, you don’t really need to add ice.)

Step 2: Add your choice of milk – I like 2%.

Step 3: Add your choice of flavored syrup/topping – Marshall’s and HomeGoods always have really inexpensive delicious syrups- my favorite brand is Torani! I love how long this bottle lasts, especially considering the price (it was around $8 at HomeGoods!)

If I choose to add syrup to my coffee, I add 1-2 tbsp.

Step 4: Mix and drink!

I hope this life hack was helpful for you coffee lovers out there! Let me know if you end up trying Trader Joe’s cold brew – I’d love to know what you think!
